Personal data that is processed when you sign up to an eLearning account:

We ask you to provide your email address, name, username and job position (if applicable) to administer a learning account for your eLearning experience as part of our services.

Personal data that is processed when you engaged SES Academy to undertake services; data that is provided for the billing purposes.

SES Academy, will only hold the most basic of information for this purpose. This information will be identified prior to being provided.

Purposes and Legal Grounds:

  • Much of the information we hold will have been provided by you or your organisation for the purposes of SES Academy being able to undertake legitimate business interests in delivering our services to you or your organisation.
  • SES Academy will hold basic information that allows us to deliver our services in the provisions of services, invoicing and accounting; along with individual services such as eLearning (As detailed further in this policy)
  • Data collected will be retained for a period of 6 years in order to satisfy any HMRC query; this information will be basis.
  • Where data is personal; SES Academy will comply with Article 5 of the GDPR that requires personal data to be:

The legal ground for processing your email address for this purpose is based on SES Academy’s legitimate interest in protecting the security of your account
  • SES Academy also processes your email address for sending you important information about SES Academy products, apps or accounts, such as important safety information or material changes to this Privacy Policy.

The name you provide is associated with your account profile and is displayed when you submit comments or other material on the Open Learning training environment.

The legal ground for processing your email address and name for these purposes is SES Academy’s legitimate interest in providing you important safety or other information about your SES Academy products, apps or account or material changes to this Privacy Policy, and in providing you an opportunity to engage with other SES Academy users.

The marketing emails you receive from SES Academy are based on the initial interaction with SES Academy (i.e. if eLearning, marketing will only be for eLearning).

The legal ground for processing this data for this purpose is SES Academy’s legitimate interest in reducing the number of marketing emails sent to each customer by selecting which customers receive a marketing email rather than sending every marketing email to every customer who has consented to receiving marketing emails.

We may disclose personal data about you to others:

The use of such information by a third party depends on the privacy policy available on that social network’s website, which we encourage you to carefully review.

Such third parties may use these cookies or other tracking methods for their own purposes by relating information about your use of our site with any of your Personal Information that they may have.

Social media will cover, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn or any other platform we utilise for the marketing of SES Academy. You are reminded to review each individual social media platform privacy policies as SES Academy, cannot be held responsible for information you have provided to these organisations.


We request individuals under 16 not to provide personal data to SES Academy. If we learn that we have collected the personal data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as we add new products and apps, as we improve our current offerings and as technologies and laws change. You can determine when this Privacy Policy was last revised by referring to the “Last updated” legend at the top of this page. Any changes will become effective upon our posting of the revised Privacy Policy.

Retention of Personal Data

We will retain your personal data as long as your SES Academy eLearning or arrangement is considered to be active and for a period of 12 months thereafter, to serve as reasonable information for the resolve of any disputes of services provided and for marketing purposes.
